Hi, i need help with installing Europe map on dezl 580 GPS.
I have installed a 16GB SD card and downloaded "gmapsupp(east).rar" from this thread

and i did put it in Internal storage > Garmin folder, but when i turn on the gps it shows me only the main roads and highways. I'd be glad if someone would explain it how to do it properly, thanks.

why do you want to put maps manually ?
if you use Garmin express then you have free life time maps , i mean ...garmin express done the job for you !

I wanted to use it, but the GPS was used in North America before and i can only update American maps

first must patch your software , so download this:

UNPACK this file and then put the folder: Garmin inside a micro sd ( format the sd into FAT32 with windows and you must use a micro sd <= 2gb )
then you turn on your garmin and wait 1 munute and then you insert the micro sd , you must show " SYSTEM UPDATE " or something like this and you must wait until your garmin restarts , then take out the micro sd and your software is patched .
after this i can tell you to insert the new maps or i can upload for you .
do this first step, ok ?

Ok, i get it, but my micro sd can't be 16GB? It has to be <=2GB or i have split it in partitions to get a smaller size?

yes try with 16gb if it can works, else give partition into your 16gb micro sd...do it into 1gb !
