This damn map is hard to find :-/

Thanks for replying, i will have a look at the "frikar***" maps.

Actually i dont think there is much new map info in v5 vs v.6
It's also important how the map looks in my handheld unit (Montana 600)
I do want as detailed as possible 1:10 000 like in the "Garmin Prime v.2 map", but even then it's dependning on how it's presented.

One idea was to visit the map government in Sweden (lantmaterie****) and tile by tile screendump my prefered area, then stich them togheter and get a picture...and so on. But i dont think thats the way to go.

Maybe have to dig deeper in the TYP files to get better working maps for me. I saw somewhere that there was some preconfigured TYP file templates somewhere...

Still, if someone have the v.6 map...i'm here!

I have also been looking for v6 but I do not think it is worth the money to buy it. Looking at v5 compared to v4 very little is better, of course a few new roads but fewer names and some new "road errors" so I am glad I did not put money in the v4 (and not in the v4 either ;-).
Almost all Garmin Topo maps needs to be TYP:ed to get good readability, the original is a disaster. One wonders if Garmin never uses the maps i real world with shaking mountain bike and sunlight? There are lots of threads on TYP:ing and good free tools as well.
Creating bitmap maps from lantmäteriet is possible but does not give as good maps as the vector maps. In forum "Utsidan" there are quite good "custom maps" made by "Örnsätrarn" .
I made a real Garmin vector map from Lantmäteriets esri files once using a version of Garmins Map Creator and the result was very good but it was a hell of a job with lots and lots of manual work translating dbf-files so I will not do that again... And now the v5 is more up to date than my map v4.5 that only covered the Dalarna district.

I have collected five maps of "Garmin friluftskartan Pro" and v.1 v2 v.3 v.4 v.5 (missing the v.6)
I also have 4 parts of the "Garmin Prime 8C, 8F, 13L, 29O - thats the detailed ones i like for my hikings
Skogkartan and fastighetskartan.

I can share them with me to get my hands on the missing one!

Or if someone have a tip to mapservice (detailed like 1:10 000)
The OSM maps seems to not show everything, not at all.

I have a question about the topo map on the Zumo XT.
What kind of topographic map is installed on the Zumo please ?
Garmin talks about a Powersport map, is it a new map ? or a Topo Active Europe ?

FireFox58 always alert, thanks. Sometimes an older device is preferred, I use a 276C with CityNavigator maps for navigating my MC and a small nuvi205 to show the nature with topo maps. The nuvi can also help when finding an address but the is seldom the purpose with a MC ride, following roads with lots of curves is the best way to ride!
