I do not understand. The 2 maps were originally divided, or by Garmin.
They have been divided to obtain 2 files of similar size and not exactly in a gographical way.
Why do you say that ONLY a Map works? I have never had problems viewing them both.

Hi Firefox, we have discussed this before.
I have the uconnect system in a Maserati, as does Atilla51. I have no idea why only the north/south maps work. You provided with a full euro map For me previously and it recognises it but says it’s incompatible (perhaps as it tries to replace the stock map rather than add as a supplemental). The system will only allow 1 supplemental app. It may be something very simple but I haven’t figured it out and am happy enough just using the north map...

    Okay, now I understand.
The Uconnect system seems to accept only 1 Map.
I'm not sure about this so I'm asking who owns this Navigator for some tests with the 2nd Map.
    1) Name the 1st Map as gmapprom.img and copy the 2nd Map in the same folder with the name gmapsup1.img
    2) copy the 2nd Map to the \Map folder with the name gmapsupp.img
    3) Copy both Maps into the \Garmin folder, one gmapsupp.img, the other gmapsup1.img

For my part it did not work car when I put the usb stick in the vehicle the latter does not read it ... yet I followed the tutorial that greysquirrel told me on the post from above is -It could be because of my car system I have the new MTC + navigation system and not the old one with the buttons on the sides of the screen. (my ghibli is from the year 2017) is- what someone could help me please?

Thanks Firefox, I will try this (once a find a usb stick big enough for both maps).

So should the directory structure on the usb simply be a folder called garmin with gmapsupp and gmapsup1? (I donÂ’t see the need for 2) above?

Atilla - I donÂ’t think this update procedure works with the MTC+ system.

Please upload the content of garmindevice.xml here. Instruction:

      • After formatting your USB to FAT32, create a new folder labeled Garmin
      • Within the Garmin folder, create a new text document (.txt) named Garmin.txt
      • The Garmin.txt document should remain blank

    • Download information from your vehicle's navigation system

*Do NOT insert the USB into the vehicle's USB port until prompted as outlined in Step 6.

      • Press the ‘Nav’ button on your screen
      • Press the ‘Settings’ button
      • Press the ‘Map’ button
      • Press the ‘Menu’ button (Looks like 3 bars)
      • Press ‘Update Map’
      • A pop up will say “Please insert a blank USB stick.”(DO NOT PRESS CANCEL)
*You will see a screen that says “No Files on USB.” Do not remove the USB. Files are still being loaded.
      • A pop up will say “The information for your navigation system has been written to the external media.” Press OK.
      • Remove your USB

The navigation software-level data is now loaded onto your USB drive. Please return to your computer.
    • Determine software version

Insert the USB drive into your computer to determine if a software update is needed for your navigation system.

      • Insert the USB into your computer
      • Click on the button to find, select the GarminDevice.xml file located in the Garmin folder on the USB

Why not just download the Gmap folder & copy to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps,then you can make any combination map sets yourself with Mapsource/Basecamp? Just unlock them with Gimgun.

The map is unlocked and I don't know if you need to patch the firmware ... if you need to, let others more experienced forum users do it ... I just make maps of countries that someone needs ...
    Google Translate ..

    Moderator Note
nuvi 300 HWID 0476 does not require patching.
Place unlocked map in Garmin folder
