No need to use installer just extract and place the gmap folder in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\

You have to put these files in: .System\Map

But first your system must be compatible with the files in question.

Could anyone explain which file D6222110A.sid or D6223110A.sid should be used in Nuvi 3490? I tried to copy one of them, then replaced by another & both were reported in GarminDevice.xml. Thanks.

Has anyone tried copying the gmapsupp.img to the garmin folder on the SD card Garmin and got it to work?

Check here first now we know you have a nuvi 66 that requires Patching to use unlocked maps
