thanks! I checked the other thread. This guy has the same care like me (we see us in the forum of the car). He has resolved his issue. I don't have the audio etc issue. I have voice directions ( I can enter a destination in Amsterdam and the lady will guide me from Switzerland, where I am in the nowhere, to Amsterdam and I see 3D buildings in Amsterdam).

My only problem is, that I need full europe. Or at least Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Slovenia (where I am travelling).
So how can I load both map files which you were mentioning, or is a map available, which covers my area?

Will I overwirte the north map when I load the south map?

That (together on the stick) didn't work. The file gmapsup1.img was not recognized by the system. Now I have south bot nomore north.

I also tried western europe (which would fit for me). But here the system said, that it is not compatible with CTP17 . It recognised it als Western Europe, hence it can read it.
Is 'Western Europe' from the first post on MEGA unlocked or locked?

I've read the thread you mentioned - and I have a CTP 17 device. I hope I don't have to downgrade to CTP 13. It is a very clear description to do, but I fear, it can fail ... The thread mentions, that CTP 17 cannot unlock maps. But when you provide unlocked maps I think it should work.
I've uploaded the xml file with prefix of my username.

I now have loaded Europe South. I have the addresses and gasoline, etc. But I don't have any junction view anymore or lane assist. I'm not sure if I still have 3D buildings etc. You will see in the xml file, what the device can handle. Of course, the dealer list will not be provided by you, but perhaps all the rest.


If you can help (with the xml file) to have me on my uconnect 8.4" CTP17:
- europe complete (or at least western europe, or again the map as you built in

I've already tried the western europe img. The system reported, that it is not compatible. But the system can read it. It showed the exact name 'Western Europe' . Hence it can read it but won't load.
