@giuseppe66, please read and then everything will be clear to you.
Thank you for your understanding!
Please, I need Eastern Europe maps and some maps of Western Europe, max 1.8 GB, one img file, if somebody could make me an img file.
Or give me instructions how to do it from img file that is posted here.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much, you have been very kind
Instructions and previous notes:
Show me... the version of maps that is in the file, is the NTU version, peros I say what Ihave done, and that seems to work.
1o.- I put the image file of all the maps of Europe in NT format, on an SD card of 8 Gigas, because 4 stay small.
That file, it's called"gmapsupp.img"and has a weight of 4,181.262.336 bytes (I say this for subsequent checks). This file is already unlocked with the FastUnlocker tool (so you don't have any problems). Eye... on the SD card, it has to be tucked into a folder called"garmin".
2a.- There is a folder called City Navigator Europe NTU 2020.10.gmap. These maps are NTU version, but you can get into the computer routes that I tell you now, to appear in Mapsource and Basecamp without problems.
The folder should be inserted as is in this path: C:-ProgramData-Garmin-Maps.
With these steps, we'll have 2 things:
a)Maps on the GPS, on your SD card, (NT version), and
b)Maps on the computer, in the Mapsource and BaseCampprograms.
You'll wonder if the version mix will work, and I've done a test.
I open Mapsource and create a route with the NTU version, and the move to GPS (which has the NT version), and it works....I can see the route, edit it,...
It is likely that when you open Mapsource,it tells you that the 2020.10 NTU version is locked, but using the KeyGen tool that I imagine you will all have (you can not add it because it is managed by any computer as viruses), the you unlock, and that's it.
Do the test, but first MAKE SAFETY COPY OF YOUR GPS, which I am not responsible for any damage that may be caused.
To me....it works me smoothly, on 2 computers.
Best regards.
If that's all right with you, I'll upload the file to Mega, for your disposal.
I expect directions from the moderators of this forum.
Thank you.
Thank you for your time and instructions.
I already know that.
I want to put new maps on some old device, Garmin Street Pilot C310, that are on sd card and can be less than 2 GB and even if i change code page of NTU maps with imgtool to 1252, they don't work on this old device.
Only original NT maps can work on this device.
So I need mapsource version of CN EUROPE NT 2020.10 maps or GMAP folder or some help which tools to use to extract the maps I need from the img file for CN EUROPE NT 2020.10 that is posted on this thread.
@alexandarserbia,
.IMG file in this thread can be converted to MapSource using the "GmapTool" tool. To make a second map later, this is not a solution. Why? The map thus created will not be routable and the search for addresses will not work and more. In short, it does not make sense to address this because you will not achieve anything beneficial.
Be patient as everyone else and let Garmin fix the error. When will he do it? Nobody knows that. Let's hope this error is fixed as soon as possible ...
P.S. I would not comment on that again.
P.S.2 If I'm wrong, I want someone to fix me. Thanks!
