Unfortunately its not that simple as copying on your device,but now we know your device needs to be Patched to use Unlocked maps,look in your Garmin folder and open the garmindevice.xml and confirm your HWID is 1749 then the Patch kit is the correct one DO NOT USE if HWID is NOT 1749

Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card in device and power on.
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
Your device may reboot its self during the process just be patient.


Your SD card will have a new file named 154.bin this is a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device later if needed,so keep a copy of it somewhere safe.

Moderator note
Before Posting asking for a Patch ,please look in your Garmin folder and open the garmindevice.xml and tell us what your HWID is,this is what is important ,the device Model is not ,as the same model can have different Firmware in different parts of the world.
I suspect it is a DriveTrack 71 !
