nuvi 2x0 (aka 2xx) series regardless of HWID (0834/0660) including 250 cannot successfully convert to nuvi 465 due to non-matching PCB P/Ns.
nuvi 2x0W (aka 2xxW) series including 260W in it's original release (HWIDs of 0935 and 0737[MTK chip]) also cannot covert to 465 however the limited re-release in 2009 of nuvi 2x0W which is in effect a dumbed-down 2x5W with crippled logo region and HWID of 0827 mostly can covert to 465 depending on PCB version additionally with either 465 logo or original 2x5W logo flashed to region 16. HWID 0827 2xxW devices can also attain traffic function of 2x5W with the original 2x5W logo flashed to them. An MTK HWID 1091 device won't covert to 465.
To have any chance of success in conversion, the PCB P/N of the recipient device must match one of the PCN P/Ns listed in the donor firmware. If there is a close match then an apparent conversion may happen but with missing functions such as no sound or, as reported before, a non-operative touch screen. Also 'System Software Missing' on boot screen may result. At worst a hard-bricked device might result. Using the original device boot.bin usually gives a safe path to re-covert if problems arise and if a device works with a hybrid fw (original boot.bin combined with rest from donor fw) then likely a full conversion will also work. In some cases the original boot.bin won't work in hybrid fw as shown in 37x0>34x0 however full conversion does work in that case but it's risky to try on other devices.
Searching for 1.0.5.-. (where '.' is wildcard) will find the fw's PCB P/Ns in hex.
