    Default Garmin GPSMAP65s

    Hello,

I bought a Garmin Gpsmap 65s and did some tests, I notice but I am not the only one that even after more than an hour of operation, the satellite numbers in multiband mode are flashing as if they are not 'were not active, it is the same as on the multi-band Gpsmap 66sr. Is this a bug or normal?

This morning I recorded two 9Km tracks in the car, going back and forth through the same place, I am amazed to see that my two tracks never overlap, that they are always on the right side of the road, that the roundabouts are taken in the right direction and that the track does not pass over them. I have never had this quality of trace. On my old 64s it was rather catastrophic, the trace was not always in the right place on a map. Now remains to be seen on foot, it is always less precise.

    Hello,
What do these numbers mean on the Galileo satellite page: 330, 350, 360, 370?
    Thank you.

The numbers 350 etc. refers to the firmware version for the gpsmap 65s
    Info comes from GPSrChive site.

I am also on the GPSrChive forum.
I have firmware 3.60 patched JNX. And on the system.xml files we see that the firmware has been patched .... It is not good to send to Garmin. Moreover I do not think that Garmin sees in this file why the satellites flash which is specific to the Sony chips I think.

    Hello,
Today I hiked 7.5Km and the Glonass satellites were absent from the whole hike, as if they did not exist. On the other hand, Galileo stopped flashing after about 1h30.
When I got home, I did a master reset and Glonass came back and Galileo is fixed and no longer flashing. In fact it took hours and hours of operation to acquire the Galileo satellites.
It was the same on a friend's Garmin 66sr, the Galileo satellites stopped flashing after hours of operation. There is a defect in Sony's GPS chip, Garmin would have to correct it with new firmware.

    Hello,
I sold my 65s which I did not find very good to buy a significantly better 66sr, larger screen and better picture quality. On the other hand it also has the problem of the Galileo satellites which have difficulty in fixing, sometimes after two hours of operation, they are still flashing.
