I don't understand why to insist on these arguments.
Not all second-hand Garmins are stolen, but all stolen Garmins are second-hand.
If you do not know the PINs, or you do not have the purchase receipt, it is right and proper that this Device remains blocked.

That is not what was suggested. However a device that is pin locked and sold without the pin is clearly suspicious and a high probability of being stolen.

The responses have been informative and totally appropriate.

Sorry I don't understand the point you are trying to make in relation to the topic.

Are you suggesting that because a device was most likely stolen that the OP should be helped.....just in case it wasn't?

Don't see you actually helping find the PIN .... only moralizing, also assuming (without evidence btw) that i break the other laws similar to the ones i pointed out and i'm therefore 'hypocritical'. I accept that likely makes you better than me .....

some time ago. As i said in Post#11: "Even the most hard-core pirates over there drew the line at helping unknown ppl with that problem." So as far as i'm concerned you can consider our attitude as one of "honor amongst thieves" if you want. Regardless your assumptions about me are just that, assumptive.

I wouldn't be happy if my device was stolen, less so if someone here assisted and encouraged it.

It must be great having a simple life where everything is only either black or white.

I really don't owe you anything by way of explanation regarding what i've done in this forum to help others. Why not just check for yourself what my activity is? See if you can find any evidence from my posts that i'm less than helpful or engage in illegal activities as you continue to assume. In short, i joined here only to help ppl having with problems with Garmin devices. However, i won't help anyone who may be in possession of suspect stolen property as i said quite clearly. So stop asking me to justify my position and asking me to show where in this thread i was "actually helping" when i clearly said that i WON'T help.

As for you 'helping', you either simply parroted what was already said earlier in this thread or you didn't even read the whole thread so didn't know you were repeating advice already given. Hint: Post #7.

Nowhere did i say that i posted in it and i referenced that thread in GPS Power simply because it contains opinions by people who, at that time at least, openly engaged prolifically in blatant piracy. Those same ppl STILL wouldn't help to unlock PIN-locked devices even though they could do so, unless proof of original purchase was forthcoming.

Your unfounded assumptions about both me and Bushwalker8 are wildly inaccurate. I don't find them particularly outrageous, just nonsensical and baseless. I'll not respond to any further provocation by you.

STOP THIS SQUABBLING PLEASE! It's not helping anyone which is meant to be what this forum is all about.
As I used to say to my kids, "if you can't play nicely then you're going to bed without any supper"

Spoken like a true communist. Why not delete BinGos posts too BigHeadDave?

Stay in your Tomtom section where you belong bagging out Garmins like you usually do.

If you don't like the way this forum's run then I suggest you go elsewhere (and don't try to be cocky with your reply to this as you're already seriously heading for a ban)
