Hi I have an old 255w and was reading online about updating it to jcv. there are a couple web sites that have a tutorial as to how to upgrade it but with missing links to the files needed. Wondering if its still possible to do that or its to late as the last file refers to new voice download from garmin and garmin has since closed that link up. here is the link for reference.

As I know Nüvi 2x5(w) doesn't manage JCVs, only Map.
I never believe in fairy tales, nor fakes. Anyone who claims such a thing is not absolutely credible.
You are of course free to think and act as you want.

Google "garmin asian jcv tool" and that may help.

I have done it (with a nuvi 52). You need to be very careful.
