Default 2 gig maps for a really old Garmin?

This one is a C330 StreetPilot. It can use a 4 gig SDSC type card, but those have been real hard to find since 2006, after the SDHC standard was released. With OSM converted data only around 1/3 of the USA can be squeezed onto a 2 gig SD. Has anyone made a complete USA (at least the 48 States) map from OSM, stripped to the bare essentials of just roads and address data for navigation, and have it fit onto a 2gig SD? Could leave out all the lakes, rivers, railroads etc.

Doubt anyone would spend hours doing that for such an old device, USA can be split into two half's about 1.2Gb each just swap them over when needed.

    Lower 49 North East States

TomTom manages to squeeze the whole USA into 1.5 gig. Just got their latest USA map on an old EASE that has no SD slot and only 1.84 gig internal memory for everything. Still has 197 meg free space.

I thought you where looking for a solution,if I knew you where just stating your opinion I wouldn't have wasted my time downloading and up loading the USA in two halves for you.

Tomtom has its own discussion thread.

    I trully agree with Nuvi
Donīt waste time in users that donīt aprecciate the help and the work of splitting and uploading two maps.
Just buy a new unit and do not write more.
Spend money and not spend userīs time
    Nuvi is right. (

New member here. This is exactly what I've been searching for, a file < 2GB in size that contains the North East states. (I've been trying to learn how to create my own map file from the various tools but so far have been unsuccessful.)

Unfortunately, the file you uploaded is no longer available. Any chance you could upload it again? Thanks!
