Garmin GUPDATE.GCD Patched File
Hello,
After flashing the GUPDATE.GCD file, Do i have to rename the patched (GUPDATE_patched.GCD) to GUPDATE.GCD and keep a copy of it at Garmin device SYSTEM/GUPDATE.GCD or at sd/Garmin/GUPDATE.GCD .

Wow you come from a long way from here. Thanks for asking this question. Using the Universal Firmware Patcher's IMG Patcher, the gupdate.gcd becomes gupdate_Patched.gcd. You do not need to keep a gupdate.gcd on the device as far as I'm concerned as every time a new firmware update comes out for your device, the guides always say to remove the file as it can cause overwriting issues of your modded patcher. From now on, use Garmin Webupdater for your firmware updates only and it is safe to do map updates using Garmin Express.
