Montana 600 (HWID: 1275) doesn't need any Firmware Patch, simply use Unlocked Maps

Hello guys,
nice work you are doing here :)
I just bought a new eTrex30x (my eTrex30 case broke). Now all my OSM maps (.img) saved on SD-card are not readable anymore. After going through the topics I am not quite sure, wether I can manage the firmware patcher the right way.
All links I tried are broken.
Could you please help me to get my firmware (current vers.: 3.00) patched, so I can use my OSM Maps as usual?

1000 thanks in advance :)

1) Delete any BirdsEye stuff temporarily (backup!)
2) Install Garmin Webupdater (► )
3) Drag and Drop the "eTrex20x_30x_Webupdater_300_JNX_Patched.gcd"-file over the installed Webupdater Icon on desktop (file is mentioned/attached in this thread)
4) Update will start (check batteries for power supply)
5) it works; now use your own maps on microSD etc.

Question and Answer at the same time, good .... =)):good:
Hello, Firmware patcher for img checks was updated to 1.30 last time I found an original source.
Does anyone know if it supports GPSMAP 78 yet?
1.30 does not appear to.
Thanks.
G'Day what are you trying to achieve ?
HWID 1113 is supported by but not required

Hi, Use of unlocked image file is what I want to achieve.
It seems the firmware doesn’t need patching, but jus the map files unlocked?
To eliminate any doubt I have a GPSmap78sc and can confirm it's been happily displaying unlocked maps for many years without any patching needed.
The only patching that may be applicable is for JNX if you are into them, it does bitmaps well also.
Everyone is here to help you,my question "what are you trying to achieve" was to gain more specific info, like what maps are you trying to use ,did you download them or are you using mapsource/Basecamp to create them.More info will get you a better answer quicker.
Backing up your original map cards & keeping them safe from loss or damage by placing multiple unlocked map sets on a larger SD card saves swapping out SD cards when you need to use a different map type or zone.

Ok, thanks. Well that makes things easy.
Believe it or not, I buy Garmin maps, but you can’t use more than one map card in the same device without messing with it.
I have several legitimate Garmin map cards.
I’m good from here though, thanks again https://www.gpsurl.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
