How do you update the Audi RMC?
Hi,
I have an Audi Q3 2016 with an RMC unit installed.
I have found the maps on this site and I've read a lot of problems regarding the activation of them.
Can I do the activation by myself with the CID remove procedure that I've found inside the maps (I'll attach it), or do I need to pay someone to do the activation?

You cant do Q3 with that method. Its more complicated.

Is it possible to know how to do it?
Step by step.
I've retrofitted wife's Q3 and installed other gateway and RMC unit together Navi SD card. All were connected and configured to car in Audi dealer but they cant activate navigation.Last edited by RomarioR; 11th October 2023 at 09:21 PM.

Buy a CID changeable Min 8GB SD card from AliExpress. Send the above CID while ordering. It will cost you 2 to 3 cups of coffee. Also a VAG can Pro 5.5.1 from AliExpress( £10 to £15) or eBay £22 to patch the device. Use the old patch file. Instruction on the extracted patch folder. After receiving the card just copy the extracted files (not the root folder, everything inside the extracted root folder)and you are good to go.
Never type the CID while ordering. Just copy and paste the CID. You know why......Always pay with PayPal on AliExpress.
If you need help give a shout here. Must have SD card with the same CID and VAG can Pro 5.5.1 also original MMI.Last edited by sumonk; 7th March 2024 at 11:09 PM.

What are you want to say? If you have original maps in car for example 2013 in a6 and want to run new maps for 2023, you think is enough to have cid sd with 2023 maps and it will work if you only put new sd in system?? You think patch is no needed to run new maps? Without vcp activation?
