    Which menu-option should this be?

My 920 (NC 9.702) has only the option "power off" by disconnecting power supply. But sometimes (very rare, i dont know why) the Go 920 after a few seconds starts again (without doing anything) after disconnecting power supply. In this case i must switch off by hand...

Yes via the battery option, next step is switch off the screen and next option switch off when power is disconnected or words similar.
I'm now talking about Navcore 9.510 and 9.500

Alfred, that is quite common. It occurs mostly when unit is connected to power sorce and is turned off, but actually sleeps, then is disconnected properly and it powers back on and needs powering off properly. Sounds simple, but disconnect first, then power off. Two options available, sleep or off. This occurs when connected to PC or vehicle. It happens with a few different units. It certainly happens with my GO5200 and did with the GO5100. Can be annoying too as sometimes if not fully off, drains the battery. Did yesterday as it happens.

My not help, but I found out that the power socket stays on in my car 30 mins after the ignition is off and key removed, or as soon after the vehicle car door is opened and then locked. That is not in the manual, but it would be handy to know. Not all cars the same though

Sorry, somewhat unclearly described from me:
I use this automatic switch off option, if disconnect the 920 from power. It works mostly correct and the 920 is "off". But sometimes (very rare) the 920 not stay "off". He booting again - as if by magic. Without doing anything (No anew connecting to power supply, no touching the device, nothing). Only in this case i must switch off by hand. My ONE-3rd is free of this miracle...

That's exactly what i use on my devicves (ONE-3rd with NC 9.510 and Go920 with 9.702), but in my opinion this option including only "auto switch off", not "auto switch on". These "auto switch on"-functionality i know only from a modified NC 9.510 from @downunder (based on an older NC9.xxx). Included in the NC, but not as a selectable menu option.

Yes, it happened on my GO720 and a later model, but I cannot remember the menu option other than something like auto power off in power saving mode from a menu option. Not had one for many years, just as an SD Card for updates. Probably sold it some 12 years ago

@Alfred_ML Just like the Maverick said, via that battery settting your device is going to sleep and switch on again when the power is back.
It has to go into the sleep position otherwise it isn't possbile to detect if power is back and realy strange it take exactly 45 seconds with mine GO910
It's rather difficult to ask him what he is doing during these 45 seconds

Ok, then these "automatic off" option is a senseless thing in all of these cases, where the device (my 920 sometimes or your 910 every time after 45s) makes a restart without any doing by user or power plug. If you leave the car in these 45s, the battery is down if you came back after 2-3 hours - how reported by the Maverick in #23.
But why creating these modified NC 9.510 with "auto on", for the first time sighted a few years ago by a posting of @downunder? Because of these possible malfunctions of a normal 9.510 or 9.702? This modified version is always recommended in other forums when a user is looking for a NC with "automatic on". And as I know, it works very well (except for the higher power consumption in the "sleeping"standby).

I can only surmise that when sleeping, it is maintaining location, route and traffic etc and thus uses the battery. Soon as the power is restored, it is pretty immediate to carry on. If power off entirely, on power on, it takes a short while (longer for a large map compared to a small map. ie UK v Europe) to reload the current map and existing route if set. Now this bit refers to my GO5200, so may not be relevant, but mine on power removal is 15s and given option to cancel. So either goes to sleep on stays on and uses more power. Just hold the power button on and gives the option to sleep or turn off. If you do not select either, it turns off anyway. On power-up, it reloads the current map selected. Not a long time, but quicker if using the route in UK and map is UK. If it is Europe map and same route, it does take longer. Same applies with no selected route. So really, it is quicker to use the current map for your location, even though I have all the maps of the world on my unit. Using MyDrive on phone, tablet or PC, sends routes to my unit, irrespective of the map being used

Auto power on was a great feature added by downunder with older units that did not automatically power on when connected, but newer units have this feature inbuilt. That was back in the days when TT listened to some of us and even used to contact me directly. Sadly they got rid of their 3rd line support and just have idiots reading from scripts and do not know their own products

I do not have verified what it means in terms of the ignition, if you observe the black screen of your gps you will see the section "start up mode" that section in each reset is modified and can be in "down" or "sleep" that causes a total paid or sleeper off.

    Maybe this can help.

The information startup on the black screen is always power down
It make no difference if the battery saving is active or not

By the way, mine GO 910 don't start everytime after 12 seonds, it start 45 seconds after i've switched the ignition on.
Another thing is that mine GO 910 sometime completely refuse to start when I connect to the cardock, than a hard reset is needed.

Mine GO 950 switch off with power down, but refuse to startup when the power is back and this all with the same Navcore 9.510
That mean that someting in the hardware must be different, while the GO910 is going to sleep the GO950 switched off totaly.
