@hometech: Which NC-Version (look at the info-screen in the menu) is currently on your NB1? The patchable NB1-devices (max. NC 10.855) and the old PNA (NC smaller than 10.xxx) have only a "3D-like" navigation-screen. Not this Realview-3D-navigation like the newer ones (e.g. Go 6200).
You should look for a Go x20/30/40/50 with NC 9.510. For these devices you can use unlockable maps (known code) from here and adapt these maps for the use on your NB1, if his present NC not higher than 10.855. The procedere of adapting PNA-maps for use in a NB1 you can find here on the lower pages.

Can you first give the answer to my questions before you make new questions? And can you use the quick Reply option instead of your full-quotings? I know my answers. Which NC has your NB1? You don't need a special version of one of the listed Go-devices. Any kind of these Go. You can also buy any other TomTom-device with a official NC 9.510. So also a 4 GB XXL (Serial-Nr. beginning with RZ). The only criterion ist NC 9.510 and a sufficient memory size to use a unlockable High-Level-map. But to download and use these High-level-maps on your NB1 you don't need another TomTom-device. Only download the map, adapting with the missing folder/files from your old NB1-map and unlock these "new created" map.
To use the traffic-service on your NB1 you need these unlocked service for your NB1, not for an other TomTom-Device. You can't transfer a traffic-service from a Go (or other device) to a NB1. Only other unlockable High-Level-maps you can use on your NB1 if comparable NB1 cards should not be unlockable.

Hey guys.. Something has gone wrong... Loaded Australia 990.8301 map.. and got the latest camera radar file and patched everything.. maps all working ok.. but none of the cameras are coming in notification when I cross then.. this has never happened in any of the patching before..
I went into services -> camera -> alerts and all the camera alerts are on (to note some of them were not on before like last few in the list - potential camera spots etc)..
Not sure what is going wrong.. maps etc working.. camera not showing

So you can use the USA_Canada_990_8305 on your NB1:
- update your NB1 with Simba's patched NC 10.855 like described in the instructions in this thread.
- complete the USA_Canada_990_8305 with missing folders and files from your NB1-USA_Canada_935_5814. Use the given instructions (here in this thread) to complete the PNA-map USA_Canada_990_8305 for use in the NB1
- activate the USA_Canada_990_8305 with your NB1-device-code (your created ttgo.bif)
- thats all, nothing to do more...

Wow! What an information-packed thread this is. I've just finished reading up to the last page (currently 48 pages), and as a new member would like to thank all those who have contributed to this patching project!
Because there is no definitive 'how-to' for the NB1 NC and patched-maps process, I'm trying to assemble my own (from the many earlier, though incomplete 'how-tos'), while also collecting all the required files.
The one set of files I haven't been able to find are those referred-to by Nick in the above quote. The page for map 990 postcodes doesn't include Australia. So first question:
1. Does anyone know where to find them, or how to generate them?
Or:
2. Is it possible to use postcode files for an earlier map version (I'm currently on 920, but there may be later ones within this forum)? What problems (symptoms) might that cause?
Many thanks.
