Hi biggerdave I want to avoid the forced Home update but there is no application.ini file on my Windows Vista PC on the path you quoted. Have you any idea why not? Is it possible just to create one if so can you quote what is in the folder.

It should be wherever the Prog is but maybe you need to run as admin or similar or "unhide" stuff?

Its there .. under version ..

    change the 2.9.2.2837 to read

    3.9.2.2837

    then click save

you obviously have your system set NOT to show the last 3 letters of a file ...

so the .ini is not shown .. and I'll bet when you look at documents they don't have .doc on the end either

    - in folder options , view tab => untick ; Hide extensions for known file-types

    - click on windows start button
in the small box above it , at bottom of menu , type ( or copy/ paste ) application.ini and hit enter
